This Friday, we are excited to spotlight our team member, Nancy Diver!

Nancy has over 20 years of experience in the architecture field, with a focus on single-family homes and townhomes. As one of the newest additions to COBU, she brings a diverse range of expertise, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for design to the team! Nancy received her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Illinois, which has since merged with the architecture program. Her career first began in office space planning, followed by designing physical therapy clinics nationwide.

As she raised her family, Nancy moved all around the country. She landed back in Illinois and continued her career designing and generating construction documents for custom homes. She also worked on production housing for residential communities across Colorado, Illinois and Wisconsin. Her wide range of experience across both residential and commercial projects eventually led her to COBU!

At COBU, Nancy continues to work on both single family and townhome design. She is primarily focused on continuing her expertise with production housing, and helping COBU expand in that market. She has a strong passion for ensuring that people everywhere have a place to call home. As a Job Captain, she looks forward to helping the team grow while sharing her knowledge and expertise in architecture and design with the younger staff.

In her personal time, Nancy is deeply involved in her community. She participates in local Habitat for Humanity builds including Women Builds, serves on the Historic Preservation Commission of Villa Park, and volunteers for the Chicago Architecture Center’s “Open House Chicago”. Both her and her husband were a part of the inaugural group brought to a remote portion of El Salvador with Habitat for Humanity, returning a half dozen times to build housing for the local community.

On the weekends, she can be found at Wrigley Field cheering on the Cubs, skiing and hiking in Colorado, and spending time sewing, gardening, traveling, and teaching and playing piano.

Thanks for joining our team Nancy, we are so grateful to have you!
