ABOUT THE PROJECT

Located along the shore of Geneva Lake, this home is surrounded by mature trees and expansive views.

The focus of this 4-bedroom plan is the vaulted great room. The decorative beams on the ceiling will conceal the automatic window shades for those sunny summer days. And during cold winter nights, the large masonry fireplace will be the perfect place to gather and enjoy a hot drink. In the center of the room is a curved staircase that leads to the lower floor: a walkout basement with its own covered patio and lakeview. This home provides ample outdoor living, perfect for lake living!

This project provided some unique design challenges. We were tasked with reusing the existing house’s foundation and working with the steep slope of the site. We took advantage of those challenges by designing a new home which offers breathtaking lake views on every level and features large exterior terraces for the whole family to gather during the long summer nights.
