Today we’re sharing a rendering of this new design located in Elgin, Illinois.

What has long been a vacant building, will soon transform into this multi-use design. Located in a two-story building from 1885 in a historic downtown, this project aims to breath life back into an empty space. Our new design seamlessly maintains the original Italianate style. Rehabilitating historic buildings comes with challenges, but it is important to maintain the character of the historic downtown while providing a modern function. That was our goal for this project, to preserve what remained and add to it. This building features commercial restaurant spaces on the ground floor, with six apartments above.

Stay tuned to see this project progress!
