This Friday, we are recognizing our team member Rachel Curtis!
Rachel has been a part of COBU for 1 year already! Before joining us, she graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a minor in Studio Art. Her minor encouraged her to explore print making, ceramics, and oil painting. Rachel’s artistic background included working as an art camp teacher in the summer months. She worked with kids of all ages teaching art in many forms including painting, drawing, and clay. Her background with art led to her strong passion for design.
Since joining COBU, Rachel has learned a lot and worked on many different projects including single family residential, multifamily townhomes, and commercial renovations. She has really enjoyed being able to work with everyone on the team on projects of different scales and looks forward to continuing to expand her knowledge of architecture as she works on new projects. Rachel is an aspiring architect, currently working towards licensure with plans to continue her education by pursuing a Master of Architecture in the near future.
In addition to her project work, Rachel has also taken on the role of COBU Social Media Manager! With her artistic eye, she curates posts for our website and social media pages along with any other marketing materials.
Outside of the office, Rachel is likely outdoors spending time with her friends and twin sister. On the weekends, you can find her in the woods camping, hiking, or going on long walks. Whether it’s a quick stroll around the neighborhood or a 10-mile hike, she will be happy to tag along. She also loves traveling, yoga and being creative.
